Confirming you have completed F1
Your certificate of experience
Once you've submitted your application, we'll wait for the designated representative at your local foundation school, LETB or deanery to send us your certificate of experience. This confirms that you have met the requirements of F1.
Your foundation school will send us your certificate
A representative of your location foundation school, LETB or deanery (see below) will sign and complete your certificate of experience then send it to us.
You should contact this person if:
- we have invited you to apply for registration, but you are not yet due to complete F1. You should ask the person to update your GMC record
- you completed F1 between 1 August 2007 and 28 May 2015.
We won’t get your certificate of experience more than 28 days before you are due to complete F1. If we haven't got your certificate of experience from your foundation school seven days before you are due to start F2, we'll contact you to let you know.
What if my foundation school refuses to issue my certificate?
If your foundation school won't issue your certificate of experience, you can't apply for full registration. You should check your right of appeal with your foundation school.
