Full registration for European doctors who qualified outside Europe and have completed F1
This guide is for European doctors who want to move from provisional to full registration with a licence to practise.
You are eligible for this route if you:
- are a national of an EEA country or Switzerland, or
- have enforceable community rights
- graduated from a medical school outside the UK, EEA or Switzerland
- have completed the first year of the Foundation Programme (F1).
You must not start the second year of the Foundation Programme (F2) or do any work that requires full registration with a licence to practise before your registration has been granted.
If you completed your internship outside the UK, you must read our guidance on applying for full registration.
