Quarantine for PLAB candidates arriving into the UK

The UK government has confirmed that many passengers arriving into the UK from overseas (excluding Ireland) will need to self-isolate for ten days. And from 15 January, pre-departure coronavirus testing will be required for everyone travelling to the UK.

International medical graduates travelling to the UK to sit our PLAB tests are not exempt from these rules and many will need to self-isolate on arrival. You must check the government website and comply with the law at the time you arrive.

You may be able to end self-isolation early if you arrange to have a private coronavirus test after five days.

If we become aware that an individual candidate hasn’t complied with quarantine laws, we’re obliged to report this and it may impact on your registration.

You can cancel your PLAB booking using GMC Online and you will automatically receive a full refund.
