- Further information on CESR and CEGPR applications
If doctors haven’t completed a GMC approved programme but are able to show they have the knowledge, skills and experience required by the approved curriculum for their specialty, they may apply for entry onto:
- the Specialist Register with a certificate of eligibility for specialist registration (CESR) through specialty equivalence, or
- the GP Register with a certificate of eligibility for GP registration (CEGPR) through specialty equivalence.
See the CESR and CEGPR Application process or our guide to the medical registers.
We won’t be able to discuss a doctor’s individual application with you directly unless they give us authorisation to do so. An applicant can set this up by calling us on 0161 923 6602.
