Notices sent to you about your revalidation

| Revalidation due date notice | This tells a doctor we need to receive a recommendation from a responsible officer or revalidation evidence within the next four months. |
| Revalidation assessment notice | This notice is sent to all doctors who have told us they do not currently have a connection to a designated body. This tells them they have four months to book their revalidation assessment. |
| Revalidation deferral confirmation and notice | This is sent to doctors that we have approved a deferral recommendation for. It tells them that we need a new recommendation and by what date. |
Notices sent to you when you enter a licence withdrawal process

| Final notice of requirement to book your revalidation assessment | This is sent to doctors who do not currently have a connection to a designated body and have failed to book their revalidation assessment. It tells them they have 28 days to take action otherwise we will make a decision on whether to withdraw their licence. |
| Final notice of requirement to receive a revalidation recommendation | This is sent to doctors who have already been sent the ‘revalidation recommendation due date notice’ and we haven’t received a recommendation or any evidence of the doctor’s engagement with revalidation by the due date. It explains we will give the doctor 28 days to respond otherwise we will consider withdrawing their licence in line with the regulations. |
| Final notice of requirement to update designated body connection details | This is sent to doctors who have already been sent notice to tell us who their designated body is or confirm they don’t have one. It tells them they have 28 days to take action otherwise we will make a decision on whether to withdraw their licence. |
| Final notice of requirement to submit an annual return | This is sent to doctors who have already been sent notice to submit their annual return. It tells them they have 28 days to take action otherwise we will make a decision on whether to withdraw their licence. |
