Annual specialty reports

As small specialties have fewer than 250 doctors in training, our annual trainee survey results are less reliable from a statistical point of view. Specialty reviews give us more insight into the quality of training.

After analysing our evidence and collecting information from the relevant royal college or faculty and postgraduate training providers, we carry out targeted site visits.

A report is published at the end of a review about the delivery of training, identifying trends and examples of good practice, and areas for improvement nationally.
