Developing our plans with you

  1. Costs and test scores
  2. Developing our plans with you

As we develop our plans we’re talking to medical students and their representatives, across England, Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland. This will help us to understand your questions and concerns, so we can feed this back to our expert advisers and colleagues who decide how the MLA will be designed and delivered.

We believe that the principles of equality, diversity and inclusion are critical to us being an effective regulator. These principles are at the heart of the work we’re doing to design and introduce this assessment.

Getting involved in pilots

Your medical school may take part in one of our pilots for the applied knowledge test (AKT), to help us make sure the MLA is working properly for students and medical schools. We’ll publish more information about piloting arrangements early in 2020.

If you have any questions or feedback on the MLA, we’re happy to help. Please email us at mla@gmc-uk.org.
