Developing our plans with you
As we develop our plans, we’re talking to medical students and their representatives across England, Northern Ireland, Scotland and Wales. This will help us to understand your questions and concerns, so we can feed these back to our medical school partners, expert advisers and colleagues who decide how the MLA will be designed and delivered.
We believe that the principles of equality, diversity and inclusion are critical to us being an effective regulator. They are at the heart of the work we’re doing to design and introduce this assessment.
Opportunities to get involved
A process of phased introduction will begin from 2021 with robust testing and piloting, before the assessment will be fully implemented for students graduating from UK medical schools from the academic year 2024/25.
Your medical school may be one of those who pilot the MLA, to help make sure the MLA is working properly for students. There will be opportunities for you to contribute and feedback throughout this time.
