Annual specialty reports - royal colleges and faculties
Since small specialties have fewer than 250 doctors in training, our annual national training survey results are less reliable from a statistical point of view. Specialty reviews give us more insight into the quality of training.
After analysing our evidence and collecting information from the relevant royal college or faculty and postgraduate training providers, we carry out targeted site visits.
We publish a report at the end of a review about the delivery of training. It identifies trends and examples of good practice, and areas for improvement nationally.
