Quality assurance framework
Our standards for medical education and training are set out in Promoting excellence. The quality assurance framework (QAF) sets out how we secure these standards. It clarifies our responsibilities around quality assurance, and defines how training organisations show that they meet our standards.
The QAF helps training organisations establish quality management and quality control processes. These processes then show how they monitor training, collect data and identify areas for improvement. It also helps us identify where standards aren't being met, and where training can be improved.
