Progression reports

As part of our quality assurance framework, we report annually on the progression of doctors across the UK. We report on key stages in their training such as:

• specialty examinations
• annual review of competency progression (ARCP)
• application and entry into specialty training.

We also look at how prepared first year foundation doctors feel to enter training and the specialties in which they ultimately receive their certificate of completion of training.

We publish these reports to support training organisations by identifying trends, concerns and variations in the delivery of medical education.
