Meet the GMC Services International team

Susan Goldsmith, Managing Director

Susan is the Chief Operating Officer and Deputy Chief Executive of the GMC, Managing Director of GMC Services International Ltd and sits on the IAMRA Management Committee.  Prior to joining the GMC, Susan was Operations Director at airport group BAA with specific responsibility for Heathrow Terminal 5 and before that held various senior roles including Deputy Chief Executive at transport and logistics group National Express.  Susan is a qualified Chartered Accountant and she has a wealth of experience in leading highly regulated, safety critical, customer-facing organisations. 

Throughout her career, Susan has held leadership roles in organisations that deliver exceptional service to the public and within which personal integrity and a strong values set are essential to ensure public safety. 

In her role at IAMRA, Susan is committed to the sharing of best practice and international collaboration which are vital to the development and promotion of safe practice and protection of the public. Susan led the creation of GMC Services International Ltd to extend the reach of the GMC and allow overseas governments to benefit from the skills and experience of the GMC. 


Helen Featherstone, Business Development Director

I have 25 years’ experience in business management and marketing and have significant experience in leading business development in organisations worldwide. 

I have lived and worked in the UK, South Africa, Thailand, Myanmar, Laos and Cambodia working for a wide range of large multinationals including IQVIA, Novartis, Anheuser-Busch Inbev (previously SABMiller) and Philips. I have successfully managed businesses as a Country Director and delivered business-critical projects to senior leaders in global organisations within the broader healthcare environment.

I offer expert advisory services to clients ambitious to improve their healthcare regulatory framework. I have exceptional account management experience and lead my team to navigate complex strategic challenges to find the right solutions tailored to your needs.

Steve Worrall, Head of Business Development

I studied French and German at university and worked in the UK, Morocco and Germany before making a move into management consultancy. My background is in mergers and acquisitions, corporate strategy, business transformation, benefits realisation and business development. I have consulted to the National Health Service in the UK for over 10 years on technology-enabled transformation, including the use of analytics, telehealth and interoperability to achieve sustainable benefits, and I enjoy bringing a fresh pair of eyes, a strategic focus and a hands-on approach to every situation. 

My focus now is to listen to customers’ priorities and challenges, and to support them in achieving their ambitions for the regulatory environment and the wider healthcare landscape in their own countries.


Victoria Andrews, Business Development Manager

I have significant experience working across the broader healthcare sector in health technology as well as with some of the world’s top pharmaceutical companies helping patients navigate the complex world of clinical trials. 

I am passionate about supporting medical practitioners and patients through different means of communication and training.

I offer specialised advisory services to clients ambitious to improve their medical practitioners’ level of professionalism. I understand the challenges that face today’s doctors enabling me to find the right solutions tailored to your needs. I work with clients to determine their challenges and find training solutions to fit both their needs and the needs of their medical practitioners.
