Supporting medical students’ and doctors’ wellbeing

We've started a UK-wide review of medical students' and doctors' wellbeing.

What is the review?

This review will identify factors that impact on the wellbeing of medical students and doctors, across the four countries of the UK. It will consider all specialties, grades, employment arrangements and demographics.

Professor Michael West and Dame Denise Coia co-chaired this review until May 2019, when Dame Denise unfortunately had to step down due to ill health. Professor West will lead the review until its conclusion later this year.

Professor Michael West and Dame Denise Coia have gathered feedback from a range of organisations and individuals across the UK and learnt from existing research in this area.
