Helping doctors become reflective practitioners

In 2018, we partnered with the Academy of Medical Royal Collegs (AoMRC), the Conference of Postgraduate Medical Deans (COPMeD) and the Medical Schools Council to produce The reflective practitioner – guidance for doctors and medical students.

We've since worked with eight other healthcare regulators to develop additional advice on how professionals can approach reflection as an individual and as part of the team. It also highlights the importance and benefits of being a reflective practitioner.

To provide doctors and medical students with further support, we've also created a a bank of new resources, including case studies and learning materials. In addition, the AoMRC and COPMeD have produced a reflective practice toolkit.
