News: New Revalidation Board chair

Keith Pearson has succeeded Sir Michael Pitt as Chair of the UK Revalidation Programme Board.

Keith Pearson, Chair of the East of England Strategic Health Authority, has succeeded Sir Michael Pitt as Chair of the UK Revalidation Programme Board.

Mr Pearson told GMCtoday that he is looking forward to working with the Board to oversee the implementation of revalidation across the UK, and to the next meeting on 10 June.

He said: ‘I am delighted to take up this position and welcome the opportunity to help take forward this significant development in medical regulation. The Board has the responsibility for overseeing and co-ordinating the delivery of revalidation in all four countries of the UK. We will be working with a wide variety of interest groups across the UK to ensure that we get it right.
