A route onto the Specialist Register has been opened by the GMC.

A route onto the Specialist Register has been opened by the GMC for those NHS and Armed Forces consultants who were appointed before 1 January 1997 and are not yet on the Specialist Register.

The route was removed in September 2005 under the Order that established PMETB.
