GMP in Action is ‘highly commended’

The GMC’s Good Medical Practice in Action scenarios were praised by judges in an awards scheme.

The case studies, which allow users to play the role of doctor in a series of tricky online dilemmas, were 'highly commended' in the Best Use of Technology category of the Charity Times awards 2010.

The commendation follows GMP in Action being shortlisted for 'Best Internet Product' in the UK IT industry awards sponsored by British Computing Society and the Chartered Institute for IT during 2009.

Since launch in 2008 the GMP in Action area of the site has received around 50,000 visits.
