Interactive learning: test yourself

This section features four interactive sessions based on Wood for the trees, a GMC-commissioned play about a young woman with Down’s syndrome and the problems that she faces accessing appropriate healthcare.

Warning: Do not be offended!

Please note that the doctors in the play do a lot of things wrong. This is intentional, designed to highlight the issues and potential pitfalls involved in treating patients with learning disabilities. By seeing bad practice, the user is encouraged to think about what good practice would look like in these circumstances.

Each session will take about 10 minutes to complete. You can download a certificate at the end, which you can use as evidence of reflection on your practice.
