We’re here to help
This year we signed up more than 5,000 medical students to receive this e-bulletin at freshers’ fairs across the UK. But coming to these fairs is just part of our work to provide local support and advice for medical students. We do this through the work of our Regional Liaison Service in England and our offices in Northern Ireland, Scotland and Wales.
What can we do for you?
- Explain more about the GMC’s role, what we do and the support we can offer students and trainee doctors to help them meet our standards we (and patients) expect all doctors to meet.
- Provide practical support on professionalism in medicine.
- Discuss GMC guidance, including the latest on Good Medical Practice (including using social media), registration, continuing professional development and raising concerns.
- Work with you to help make sure the voice of medical students is reflected in our standards and guidance and how we regulate medical education and training in practice.
- Our team plan on visiting every medical school in the UK in 2013. If you would like to arrange a visit, please contact them on the details below.
Meet our team in England
There are eight members of our team in England, which is known as the Regional Liaison Service (RLS). Jo and Tista have been piloting the RLS for the past 18 months, and the six other members have recently joined the team to roll out the service across England. Please go to the Regional Liaison Service webpage to find out more about us, or contact us.
