  4. 4. Flash Player is installed on your computer but you still can’t view GMP in Action
  5. 5. Other Flash Player support
  6. 6. You still cannot view GMP in Action and need help!

1. Do you have Adobe Flash Player installed on your computer?

To view GMP in Action, you will require Adobe Flash Player (often referred to just as Flash). Flash Player is a free plug-in that runs through your web browser and can be installed from the Adobe website http://www.adobe.com/products/flashplayer/.

You may need to seek permission from your IT department to do this.

2. Are you using a broadband or a dial-up internet connection?

Flash applications are best viewed using a broadband internet connection as dial-up connections can often be too slow to run Flash effectively.

3. You think you have Flash installed but you’re not sure

You can check whether you already have Flash installed, and obtain the version of Flash you have, by clicking on the Adobe Flash version test link.

4. Flash Player is installed on your computer but you still can’t view GMP in Action

  1. 4.1 Consult your network administrator

  2. It is possible that you have Adobe Flash Player installed on your machine but your security settings or firewall is preventing Flash from running. We advise you to consult your network administrator if this is the case.
  3. 4.2 Adjusting the security level on Internet Explorer

  4. Flash Player, for Internet Explorer, is an ActiveX control. Your Internet Explorer security level may be set to High or a custom level which does not allow viewing of ActiveX controls.
  5. To view your Security level, from within Internet Explorer, choose Tools > Internet Options, and in the Security tab, choose Internet.
  6. Though your browser security settings should be chosen by you or your system administrator, the Medium: Default Level will allow you to view Flash content.
  7. For any Custom Level, ensure that both "Download Signed ActiveX controls" and "Run ActiveX controls and plug-ins" are not disabled. (Enable or Prompt will work).

5. Other Flash Player support

More Flash Player issues and support can be found on the Adobe Flash Player Support pages.
