Approval process for curricula and assessment systems

This page explains the process for curriculum and assessment system approval and this should be read in conjunction with our Standards for curricula and assessment systems

The process and timetable

Each College (or equivalent organisation) that has received approval of a specialty or sub-specialty curriculum and assessment system had submitted an assessment application for approval.

Major and minor changes to curricula

If a College or Faculty wishes to make amendments to its curricula, it will need to determine whether the amendment is major or minor.

The College or Faculty should then send the relevant form to the GMC for assessment along with the appropriate supporting evidence.
