Approval process for curricula and assessment systems - effective November 2012

The process and timetable

If a College or Faculty wishes to make amendments to its curricula or assessment systems, the changes will need to be reviewed by the Curriculum Advisory Group (CAG) prior to implementation.

The CAG meets in each quarter of the year to review curricula and assessment system changes. Each specialty and subspecialty has its own slot to be reviewed by the CAG.

When a specialty or subspecialty is due to be reviewed, the College or Faculty should send a completed change form to the GMC for assessment along with appropriate supporting evidence.
