Standards for deaneries - revised, April 2010

Standards for deaneries (pdf) sets out how deaneries are able to demonstrate achievement of their quality management obligations as set out in the GMC's Quality Framework.

This document sets out the standards and requirements that the GMC will hold postgraduate deaneries accountable for in accordance with Medical Act. Each standard has its own accompanying set of requirements which articulate how deaneries are able to demonstrate achievement of the relevant standard.

These standards have been designed to run alongside the Generic standards for specialty including GP training - revised, April 2010 and the Standards for curricula and assessment systems - revised, April 2010.

This document incorporates elements of the previous Principles for deaneries (published in January 2008).
