QAFP consultation – with PMETB
The GMC and PMETB consulted on proposals to quality assure the Foundation Programme (295kb, 
pdf) in Summer 2006.
The consultation closed on 15 October 2006.
The Standards for Training for the Foundation Programme (95kb, pdf) and the outcomes to be demonstrated by provisionally registered doctors (F1) (54kb, pdf) before full registration is granted have been finalised.

Research on the implementation of The New Doctor
This research was commissioned by the University of Newcastle upon Tyne and the NHS Education for Scotland led by Professor Timothy Van Zwanenberg.
This project was a scoping exercise to design a research protocol for evaluating the effectiveness of The New Doctor (1997).
