Visit teams
As part of the quality assurance process, medical schools, deaneries and local education providers are assessed by a team of visitors. We also have teams to review small specialties and assessment.
Our pool of education visitors includes medical students, foundation doctors, specialty trainees, medical educationalists and assessment experts, senior medical school and deanery staff, medical specialists, representation from local education providers, and lay members.
If you are intersted in working for us as a visitor please register your interest with our associate services team at associateservices@gmc-uk.org and we will contact you when a suitable opportunity arises.
London visit teams for 2012
In response to feedback we've received we are coordinating teams for the London regional review to include undergraduate and postgraduate expertise within single teams. Each team includes a team leader, lay member, medical student, trainee and specialist with other members determined based on the focus of the review.
Each team will have the responsibility for the review within a sector of London and will be supported by a regional coodinator who will work with the teams to draw out regional themes and differences between the sectors.

Teams include a team leader, student, lay person, people with experience of designing and implementing a new curriculum and/or assessment system.

Teams normally include a team leader, student or trainee and a lay member, additional expertise may be drafted in depending on the focus of the check.
