Specialty Curriculum and Associated Assessment System
Doctors wishing to undertake training in the specialty of Paediatric Cardiology must first complete 2 years of Specialty Training in a Core Medical Training (CMT) programme or Acute Care Common Stem (ACCS) programme. From ST3 onwards training is specific to Paediatric Cardiology but the training to CCT requires the completion of both core and higher approved training. Core and higher specialty training are presented in separate curriculum documents that can be accessed by clicking the links below. The 2010 approved documentation for Paediatric Cardiology incorporates both the specialty curriculum and blueprinted assessment system.

Specialty Curriculum
Specialty training in paediatric cardiology consists of a number of elements: Core training in ST1 and ST2, followed by specialty training from ST3 onwards, and underpinned throughout by generic training (ST1 onwards). Each of these has a separate curriculum element (see links below).
