Tomorrow's Doctors (2009) supplementary advice

The GMC has published new supplementary advice for medical schools on clinical placements and assessments.

The advice was produced in response to requests from medical schools and will help them to implement the requirements in Tomorrow's Doctors (2009) and prepare their students for clinical practice in the Foundation Programme.

The new advice is on:

• Clinical placements for medical students
• Assessment in undergraduate medical education

In addition, two draft pieces of supplementary advice are available for comment until 21 March 2011:

• Developing teachers and trainers
• Patient and public involvement in undergraduate medical education
