We have published reports reviewing the scrutiny of college and specialty activity and examination data for the reporting period 2010/11.

The Annual Specialty Report Scrutiny Summary 2010/11 (pdf) reports on data collected from the colleges using a self-reporting template, about college activity which impacts on trainee development.

The template covered all aspects of college responsibility and involvement in training, and included questions on feedback from last year's report, key achievements in quality improvement, priorities for 2011/12, identification of concerns and areas of good practice.

Trends were identified by theme, across colleges and/or specialties. Some of the themes that were highlighted included Workplaced Based Assessments, Working Time Regulations, Training vs service, 'Externality', Bullying/Undermining and Time for Training.

The Exam Data Summary 2010/11 (pdf) is the first of its kind and provides a review of college and faculty postgraduate medical education examination data for the reporting period 2010/11.
