Shape of Training review

The independent review of postgraduate medical education chaired by Professor David Greenaway is making progress.

The review is jointly sponsored by the Academy of Medical Royal Colleges, the General Medical Council, Medical Education England, the Medical Schools Council, NHS Scotland, NHS Wales and the Northern Ireland Department of Health, Social Services and Public Safety.

The expert advisory group had its first meeting on 17 July, and discussed:

• terms of reference for the group
• key issues of the review
• the communication and engagement programme
• possible research and evaluation to support the review.
