GMC Education events

The GMC has completed a successful series of seven events across the UK looking at education issues with our partners in medical training.

Participants enjoyed the events and welcomed the opportunity to contribute to our proposals.

Areas of our work discussed were:

• recognising trainers
• routes to the Specialist and GP Registers
• our quality assurance of medical education
• health and disability among medical students and trainees
• generic outcomes for specialty training.

We will continue to engage with stakeholders in developing proposals.

• We are considering the response to the consultation on trainers.
• The consultation on routes to the Specialist and GP Registers is open until 15 June 2012.
• We will also be keen for feedback when we have worked up proposals for quality assurance, health and disability, and generic outcomes.
