Regulating doctors, ensuring good medical practice
01 Nov 2011
The GMC has published its report on the annual survey of junior doctors.
The report provides a comprehensive picture of the views, experience and perceptions of doctors in training across the UK.
Most training is meeting the standards set out by the GMC, but trainees have identified some areas where it is not satisfactory.
Areas of dissatisfaction include trainees not feeling adequately prepared for future roles, the need for improved supervision and feedback, and continuing concerns about the Working Time Regulations.
The GMC is now calling on senior doctors, managers and medical educators to help tackle these concerns.
