Approval of trainers project

The GMC is developing plans for approving trainers of all undergraduate and postgraduate learners which will be implemented by 2013.

By 2013 the GMC will be approving trainers of all undergraduate and postgraduate learners and in particular Educational Supervisors and Clinical Supervisors. We will use local processes and existing standards.

Approval will promote and enhance the value of training.

A Task and Finish Group is developing proposals for a full consultation from early 2012 and implementation by 2013.
