From 11 to 15 November 2009 we will be making changes to our computer systems in preparation for the introduction of licensing on 16 November 2009.

Online services

During this time our online services will be affected as follows:

  • Any emails you submit will be held in a queue. We anticipate being able to provide a response to you within 10 working days from 16 November 2009. 
  • You will not be able to open a MyGMC account or use your existing account to make an application, pay your fee, change your details or book a PLAB exam. You will be able to use MyGMC again on 16 November 2009.

From 11 to 15 November 2009 you will continue to be able to find registration information on our website and check a doctor's registration status on the List of Registered Medical Practitioners

Office-based services

Our Contact Centre will be open as normal during the period for advice and urgent enquiries. We regret we cannot take card payments nor do anything that entails changing your registration details.

Our offices will be open but you will not be able to attend for an ID check.

We are sorry that these temporary changes may cause some inconvenience but we have done all we can to keep this to a minimum.
