e-billing is launched

In November we'll be launching a new e-billing service. From then you can receive your annual bill, payment confirmations, and other registration-related documents, by email.

Our new service is fast and secure – it will let you see these important documents sooner. It will also significantly reduce our print, postage and distribution costs. It's all part of our drive to be more efficient and green in the way we run our services for you.

Existing GMC Online account holders

Taking up this new service is very easy. All you need to do is:

  • Log on to GMC Online
  • Click ‘My Details’
  • Click ‘Communications Preferences’
  • Click ‘Amend’
  • Change ‘Receive my bills electronically’ to Yes and save

At the same time you should check that the email address we have for you is still current and if not you can update it.

Registered doctor but not an existing user of GMC Online

If you have not already activated your GMC Online account, you will need to do this first. You can then start the process. Please note we will require some specific information from you to help us maintain our system security.

Once you have activated your account you can set your preference following the steps outlined above. If you have any concerns about this, please contact us.

In the future we hope to increase the services that are available electronically but in the meantime here is the full list of our new e-transactions.
