Help us develop our e-billing service

In November we'll be launching a new e-billing service that will allow you to receive your fees notice, payment confirmations, and other registration-related documents, by email. We want you to help us make this change by telling us what you think.

This new service will improve the speed you can access these important documents and significantly reduce our print, postage and distribution costs (which amount to hundreds of thousands of pounds every year) at the same time. It’s all part of our drive to be more efficient in the way we run our services for you. You will still be able to receive your annual fees notice and other documents by post if you choose.

Take part in our survey

Before we launch our e-billing service, we would welcome your views on how we should actually make this change. If you can spare us five minutes, please take part in our online survey. We have a number of questions that we need your help with, such as:

• Should you have to choose to have e-billing or should we give it to you automatically? 
• Should the details of your fee (such as the amount that is due and the date your fee should be paid by) be shown in the email you receive or only on our secure portal for doctors, GMC Online, which can be accessed through our website?

Register for e-billing

If you’re one of the 70,000 doctors who already has an account with GMC Online and you would like to sign up for e-billing ahead of its launch in November, please log in to GMC Online and register your preference on the ‘Communications preference’ page in the ‘My Details’ section.

If you don’t have a GMC Online account and would like to create one, please visit our new user page. You will need your GMC reference number, email address, date of birth, and payment method to get started.
