Processing your application
We aim to assess applications as quickly as possible. If for any reason we cannot process your application immediately, we will tell you why. You will hear from us within five working days.
Your application will take longer to process if:
- You have not provided us with all the information requested in this application form.
- You cannot provide us with all of the evidence that we have requested.
- We have received any information which calls into question your character or your capability for practice in the UK.
We may ask you to provide further evidence and information in support of your application for registration. We may also refer your application to a Registration Panel for advice on your eligibility for registration. We will let you know if this applies to your application.
At peak times of the year (January to February and July to September) our Registration Directorate is extremely busy. At these times it can take us longer to process applications. It is, therefore, in your interests to get your application to us as early as possible and well in advance of the date you will need registration.
