This guidance provides information for doctors who are required to work in an approved practice setting and want to apply to be released from this requirement.

Your application will be an online application. At the end of this guidance you will be given a link to enter our secure web portal which is called MyGMC.
You will need a PIN and password to enter MyGMC. If you do not already have these, please contact us (opens in a new window) and we will send you them as soon as possible.

- Log in to MyGMC and complete your application (you will need your GMC reference number, PIN and password to this)
- Send copies of your supporting documentary evidence by post
