Registering as a doctor – graduates from named countries outside Europe who hold or have held provisional registration

This guidance provides registration information to doctors who hold or have previously held provisional registration with the GMC

AND

Hold a primary medical qualification from a university in one of the following countries:

  • Australia
  • New Zealand
  • Hong Kong
  • Singapore
  • South Africa
  • West Indies

OR

The University of Malaya on or before 31 December 1989

At the end of this guidance you will be given a link to download an application form to complete and an address to send it to.

Your steps to registration

  • Read this guidance (10 pages)
  • Download and complete an application form
  • Send your completed application form along with copies of your supporting documentary evidence and your fee by post
  • Visit one of our offices for an identity check
