Information for medical schools

This page is for medical school administrators (or designated representatives in local foundation schools who work on their behalf) who do one or more of the tasks below:

  • Manage data for final year medical students.
  • Organise ID check events.
  • Submit graduation lists.
  • Manage completion dates for F1 doctors.
  • Submit certificates of experience for F1 doctors.

Our forms

Final year medical students

Form When to use this form 
UK7 – Medical student data upload (you must also provide a JPG photo for each student) Request GMC reference numbers for your new final year students.
UK8 – Medical student change in study  Tell us a medical student has taken time out, failed exams or withdrawn from the course. 
UK9 – Student change of name Tell us a medical student has changed their name after you’ve given us their data.
UK10 – Medical school delegates and GMC Connect access  Tell us about staffing changes at your medical school and request access to GMC Connect for managing students and submitting graduation lists.
UK12 – Electronic graduation list  Tell us about students who have completed their medical degree. 

F1 doctors

Form When to use this form
UK11 - Designated representatives for COE submission  Tell us about staffing changes at your school and request access to GMC Connect for managing F1s and submitting certificates of experience. 

GMC Connect

GMC Connect is the online portal we use to share and exchange data about your final year students and F1 doctors. You have your own username and password.

Getting an account

If you would like to request an account to administer information about final year students, please complete UK10 – Medical school delegates and GMC Connect access.

If you would like to request permission to submit certificates of experience, please complete the UK11 - Designated representatives for COE submission.
