UK Revalidation Programme Board
The introduction of medical revalidation across the UK represents the biggest change to the way doctors are regulated in the history of medical regulation.
The UK Revalidation Programme Board brings together the key interest groups involved in delivering revalidation across the UK.
The GMC has established the Board to oversee the practical delivery of medical revalidation across all four countries of the UK in a way that is co-ordinated and consistent. It has ownership of, and is the primary driver for, the implementation of the UK revalidation programme.
The Board is chaired by Keith Pearson. It meets approximately every two months, comprises 16 members and is accountable to the GMC's governing body 'the Council'.
The Board is committed to transparency in its proceedings. It has set out its governance arrangements in a Project Initiation Document (207kb, pdf) and a Terms of Reference (31kb, pdf).
