The Panel determined to maintain the order of conditions imposed on Dr Bates’ registration (currently due to expire on 10 November 2008).
The Panel further notified the Registrar of the GMC that an application should be made to the High Court for an extension of the interim order under section 41A (6) of the Medical Act 1983, as amended.
The conditions are as follows:

He must confine his medical practice to General Practice posts as a General Practitionerunder the supervision of a named General Practitioner to be agreed by the GMC.
- He must seek a report from his supervisor for consideration by this Panel, prior to any review hearing of this Panel.
- He must seek a report from any Mentor assigned to him for consideration by this Panel, prior to any review hearing of this Panel.
- He must notify the GMC promptly of any professional appointment he accepts for which registration with the GMC is required and provide the contact details of his employer.
- He must allow the GMC to exchange information with his employer or any organisation for which he provides medical services.
- He must inform the GMC of any formal disciplinary proceedings taken against him, from the date of this determination.
- He must inform the GMC if he applies for employment outside the UK.
- He must inform the following parties that his registration is subject to the conditions, listed at (1) to (5), above:
- Any organisation or person employing or contracting with him to undertake medical work
- Any locum agency or out-of-hours service he is registered with or applies to be registered with (at the time of application)
- Any prospective employer (at the time of application)

The Panel determined to maintain the order of conditions imposed on Dr Orunta’s registration (currently due to expire on 19 June 2009). The conditions are as follows:
- He must confine his medical practice to National Health Service posts in anaesthetics where his work will be supervised by a named Consultant(s);
- He must seek a report from his supervising Consultant(s) for consideration by this Panel, prior to any review hearing of this Panel;
- He must not carry out Intravenous Sedation outside of the NHS Hospital in which he works unless directly supervised by a Consultant Anaesthetist named to the GMC;
- He must maintain a log detailing every case where he has undertaken Intravenous Sedation, which must be signed by the supervising consultant;
- He must provide a copy of this log to the GMC prior to any review hearing of this Panel or, alternatively, confirm that there have been no such cases during that period;
- He must not undertake any private practice;
- He must comply fully with the GMC with regard to any investigation into his fitness to practise;
- He must notify the GMC promptly of any professional appointment he accepts for which registration with the GMC is required and provide the contact details of his employer;
- He must allow the GMC to exchange information with his employer or any organisation for which he provides medical services;
- He must inform the GMC of any formal disciplinary proceedings taken against him, from the date of this determination;
- He must inform the GMC if he applies for medical employment outside the UK;
- He must inform the following parties that his registration is subject to the conditions, listed at (1) to (11), above:
