The Panel considered the case of Dr Dalton and determined to impose an order of conditions on his registration for a period of 18 months (until 2 March 2010). The conditions are as follows:
- He must notify the GMC promptly of any professional appointment he accepts for which registration with the GMC is required and provide the contact details of his employer.
- He must allow the GMC to exchange information with his employer or any organisation for which he provides medical services.
- He must inform the GMC of any formal disciplinary proceedings taken against him, from the date of this determination.
- He must inform the GMC if he applies for medical employment outside the UK.

He must confine his medical practice to supervised training posts under the supervision of a GP Trainer and/or a named hospital consultant, as identified by his Postgraduate Deanery, in conjunction with his PCT.
- He must develop an education plan to address the deficiencies identified in the NCAS report of 24 June 2008.
- Prior to any review hearing of this Panel he should provide reports from his named clinical supervisors in relation to his progress in meeting the objectives of his education plan.
- He must not undertake any locum posts.
- He must not undertake any private practice.
- He must inform the following parties that his registration is subject to the conditions, listed at (1) to (7), above:
- Any organisation or person employing or contracting with him to undertake medical work;
- Any out-of-hours service he is registered with or applies to be registered with (at the time of application);
- Any prospective employer (at the time of application).

The Panel reviewed the order of conditions made on 19 December 2006, varied on 21 February 2008, and directed that it should be maintained for the remainder of the duration of the order (until 18 June 2009). The conditions are as follows:
- He must notify the GMC promptly of any professional appointment he accepts for which registration with the GMC is required and provide the contact details of his employer;
- He must allow the GMC to exchange information with his employer or any organisation for which he provides medical services;
- He must inform the GMC of any formal disciplinary proceedings taken against him, from the date of this determination;
- He must inform the GMC if you apply for employment outside the UK;

- He must confine your medical practice to National Health Service posts no higher than Specialist Trainee (ST3 level) or equivalent, where your work will be supervised by a named consultant;
- He must seek a report from his supervising consultant for consideration by this Panel, prior to any review hearing of this Panel;
- He must not work as a locum in a position of less than 3 months duration.
- He must comply with the GMC with regard to any investigations it conducts into his fitness to practise. This may include an assessment of his performance;
- He must inform the following parties that his registration is subject to the conditions, listed at 1 to 7, above:
- Any organisation or person employing or contracting with him to undertake medical work;
- Any prospective employer (at the time of application).

- She must notify the GMC promptly of any professional appointment she accepts for which registration with the GMC is required and provide the contact details of her employer (and PCT on whose Medical Performers List she is included).
- She must allow the GMC to exchange information with her employer or any organisation for which she provides medical services.
- She must inform the GMC of any formal disciplinary proceedings taken against her, from the date of this determination.
- She must inform the GMC if she applies for employment outside the UK.
- She must not act as a Medical Director or in a similar capacity in either residential care or nursing homes.
- She must not be involved in the management or running of either residential care or nursing homes.
- She must not prescribe for residents of either care or nursing homes.
- She must inform the following parties that her registration is subject to the conditions, listed at (1) to (7), above:
- Any organisation or person employing or contracting with her to undertake medical work;
- Any locum agency or out-of-hours service she is registered with or applies to be registered with (at the time of application);
- Any prospective employer (at the time of application);
- The PCT in whose Medical Performers List she is included, or seeking inclusion, (at the time of application);
- Her Regional Director of Public Health.
