The Panel considered the case of Dr Alexander and determined to impose an order of conditions on his registration for a period of 18 months (until 11 February 2010). The conditions are as follows:

1. He must notify the GMC promptly of any professional appointment he accepts for which registration with the GMC is required and provide the contact details of her employer.
2. He must allow the GMC to exchange information with his employer or any organisation for which he provides medical services.
3. He must inform the GMC of any formal disciplinary proceedings taken against him, from the date of this determination.
4. He must inform the GMC if he applies for medical employment outside the UK.
5. 1. Except in life-threatening emergencies, he must not undertake consultations with female patients without a chaperone present. The chaperone must be a fully registered medical practitioner or fully registered nurse.
   2. He must maintain a log detailing every case where he has undertaken a consultation with such a patient, which must be signed by the chaperone.
   3. He must maintain a log detailing every case where he has undertaken a consultation with such a patient in a life-threatening emergency, without a chaperone present.
   4. He must provide a copy of these logs to the GMC prior to any review hearing of this Panel or, alternatively, confirm that there have been no such cases during that period.
6. He must inform the following parties that her registration is subject to the conditions, listed at (1) to (5), above:
   1. Any organisation or person employing or contracting with him to undertake medical work
   2. Any locum agency he is registered with or applies to be registered with (at the time of application)
   3. Any prospective employer (at the time of application)
