Regulating doctors, ensuring good medical practice

Decisions

You can search recent decisions taken by our Fitness to Practise Panels and Interim Orders Panels (IOP) below.

Please note

  1. 1. Decisions of hearings which concluded on or after 11 June 2012 appear on the MPTS's hearing decisions page.
  2. 2. For the most up to date details about registered doctors, including any current restrictions on their registration you should use the GMC's List of Registered Medical Practitioners which provides all publicly available fitness to practise history since 20 October 2005.

In order to legally practise medicine in the UK a doctor must be registered with a licence to practise. If a doctor has a licence to practise, a flag will appear on the entry in the List of Registered Medical Practitioners.

Our records of Fitness to Practise decisions and IOP decisions are held on webpages.
