Involved in Victim Support for 20 years, was, until November 2005, a national trustee and chair of Victim Support Ltd. Appointed a CBE in 1990 for services to equality.
Appointed a lay member of the General Medical Council in 1999. Now an associate serving on the GMC's Fitness to Practise Panels, member of GDC'S FTP Committee since 2003. In 2003 was appointed a lay member of the Health Professions Council. Was a non-executive director of the Royal Group of Hospitals Belfast until March 2007. She is a member of the General Dental Council's Fitness to Practise Committee. |
