GMC seminar on Trust, Assurance and Safety
The GMC hosted a seminar today (16 July) focusing on our plans to take forward key areas in the White Paper, Trust, Assurance and Safety - The Regulation of Health Professionals in the 21st Century.
The event was aimed at senior representatives from organisations with an interest in the delivery and regulation of healthcare.
GMC President Sir Graeme Catto opened the seminar and introduced Deputy Chief Medical Officer Professor Martin Marshall, who outlined the work ahead from his viewpoint.
GMC Chief Executive Finlay Scott then spoke about the GMC’s role in taking forward the White Paper workstreams.
The audience, which consisted of a wide cross-section of delegates with an interest in medical regulation, later joined break out groups led by the GMC, to discuss the challenges ahead.
