GMC ethnicity census
“This is vitally important. It’s important to us and I hope it’s important to you too.”
- Sir Graeme Catto, President of the GMC
About the GMC ethnicity census
The GMC is conducting the first comprehensive exercise to compile ethnicity data about all doctors practising in the UK. With the support of leading medical organisations, it is calling on doctors for whom it does not hold ethnicity data to provide their details and help the GMC ensure that its processes are fair and transparent.
If you are a doctor and we have asked you to provide some information about yourself, it is important that you do so.
