Many people contribute to the work of the General Medical Council (GMC), whether in a paid or contractual basis.

• The 35 Council members form the governing body of the GMC.
• The Code of conduct and guidance on the register sets out the responsibilities of Council members

The GMC publishes a register of interests, which contains the declared interests of:

• Council members
• GMC executive directors and
• Co-opted committee members
