Getting to our Cardiff office

Our Cardiff office is based at:

  • Fourth Floor,
    Caspian Point 2,
    Caspian Way,
    Cardiff Bay, CF10 4DQ

We’re open from 9 am–5 pm, Monday to Friday. Visits by appointment only.

To make sure we can meet your requirements, please speak to your GMC contact in advance to confirm the arrangements for your visit.

Our office is based in the Cardiff Bay area of the city. Caspian Point consists of two similar buildings, which overlook the A4232. Our office is within a short walk of Cardiff Bay railway station, there is a Baycar bus stop close by on Pierhead Street, and a multi-story car park is nearby.

There are a number of organisations based in the building. A reception desk servicing all organisations is on the ground floor – the security officer will tell us when you arrive.

Our office is a five minute walk from Cardiff Bay train station. The main station servicing the city is Cardiff Central. However, if you’re travelling into Cardiff Central, we recommend that you continue your journey to the bay using the Baycar bus service.

Bus

The Baycar and number 8 bus services both go to the bay. For more information about particular routes, go to www.cardiffbus.com.

Taxi

Taxis can access the Caspian Point car park to drop off and pick up visitors. Your driver will need to access the car park via Caspian Way.

If you are driving, you can park at Pierhead Street multi-storey car park, which is next to Caspian Point.

Finding your way around the building

Our offices are on the fourth floor of the building. Depending on the purpose of your visit, a member of staff will meet you at the reception desk on the ground floor or you can ask the reception desk to let us know you have arrived.

There are toilets, including a disabled toilet, next to the lifts.

Emergency procedures

The fire alarm is tested every Thursday at 9.30 am. If an alarm sounds at any other time, or if the alarm continues to sound after a few seconds, it means that you should evacuate the building.

Please leave the building by your nearest emergency exit. You can find this by following the green emergency exit signs. Once you are outside, please go immediately to our assembly point beside the bike racks at the rear of the car park.

If you have an impairment that means you can’t hear the alarm or need help to evacuate the building, please tell the person you are visiting. They will make sure that you have a buddy – someone who will make sure that you get safely out of the building in the event of an emergency.

If you or someone around you is injured or unwell and needs first aid, please speak to a member of staff. If you need an ambulance, please call 999 directly (dial 9 first for an outside line if using our office phones).
