Regional Liaison Adviser for the West Region
The region I cover
I’m the GMC’s Regional Liaison Adviser in the West of England. This includes Somerset, Wiltshire and Gloucestershire together with Bristol and Bath.
My background
I joined the GMC in July 2015. My previous job was at the University of Exeter, where I worked as Partnership Coordinator in the School of Education. I worked with schools, academic staff and other agencies to make sure that our trainee teachers got high quality professional training in their school placements.
I previously worked as South West Policy and Partnerships Manager for the Big Lottery Fund. I spoke about our work to all kinds of audiences, and worked with partner organisations to make sure that our grants achieved maximum impact in the region.
What I’d like to achieve
I enjoy being out in the field, speaking to people and helping raise awareness of the services we offer. I look forward to working in partnership with doctors, students and patients towards a common goal: excellent standards of medical care in the region.
