Regional Liaison Adviser for the East Midlands region.
The region I cover
I’m the GMC’s Regional Liaison Adviser in the East Midlands. My area includes cities such as Leicester, Derby, Nottingham and Oxford plus more rural locations like Rutland and Lincolnshire. I have worked as a Regional Liaison Adviser across the Midlands for the past 3 years. I have found it an interesting and varied role with different issues and opportunities in each local area.
My background
I have previously worked in management and advisory roles within private, public and third sector organisations in the Midlands. I try to use my experience of building relationships and working as partners in my role at the GMC.
What I'd like to achieve
I’m keen to build on my previous work with doctors, medical schools and patient groups to promote our work and guidance, as well as gather valuable feedback. This will help shape our future work and maintain patient safety.
The East Midlands and Oxfordshire area is an interesting and diverse geographic region. I look forward to finding out more about the area itself and the health needs of those living there as well as supporting the doctors providing that care.
